Discover the new PhotoMOS® WSSOP relay

Panasonic Industry introduces the new PhotoMOS® WSSOP miniature relay, designed for applications in the measurement, test and medical sectors.

Part of the well-established Low CxR PhotoMOS® series, the AQY231R1WY (1Y) model stands out for its optimized output MOSFETs with extremely low capacitance and resistance values. This first model in the series operates with a voltage of 40 V and a current of 350 mA, adopting a 1FormA contact configuration.

MOSFET relays are essential for the measurement and test equipment sector, thanks to their speed, efficiency and reliability. Panasonic Industry, synonymous with quality and innovation, designs products capable of effectively meeting the requirements of various application fields.

PhotoMOS® are increasingly establishing themselves in the industrial sector, offering numerous advantages compared to traditional electromechanical relays. Here are some of the key features of the new WSSOP relay:

  • Compact design: The WSSOP package reduces the mounting area by up to 89% compared to conventional models, supporting equipment miniaturization and saving costs.
  • High thermal resistance: Designed to operate up to +125°C, this relay is ideal for high-temperature environments, such as semiconductor testers or combustion testers. In comparison, conventional relays operate at a maximum of +85°C.
  • High energy efficiency: Requires only 1.0 mA of current to operate, which is one-third that of standard 3.0 mA models, helping to save energy for equipment.
  • Operating speed: Typical on/off times of 0.025 ms and 0.15 ms respectively.
  • High frequency performance: Designed to transmit high frequencies smoothly and without interruption.
